The Nuclear and Waste Management Division is requesting support of Operations/Program/Project III to support of the nuclear and waste management operations at Argonne.
One full-time on-site (Full time travel) Operations/Program/Project III to support nuclear operations department (through 9/30/2014)
One full-time part time travel (approximately 2 time per month onsite) Operations/Program/Project III to support waste management department (through 9/30/2014)
One full-time on-site (full time travel) Operations/Program/Project II to support waste management department (through 9/30/2014)
Two full-time on-site (full time travel) Operations/Program/Project III to support specific project tasks (approximately two month work order duration)
Work is expected to include, but not limited to:
Function independently, with limited input from management.
Responsible for development, implementation and tracking to completion various projects within the defined schedule and budget.
Responsible for development of work packages, job plans, work permits, and/or procedures required for their project activities.
Effectively interact with various subject matter experts to solicit input, resolve comments, and obtain work permit approvals as needed to support project activities.
Scheduling and budget.
Candidate should have 10+ years of experience, and a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Experience.
Considerable organization and project management skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and to achieve desired goals with required timeframes and within projected budgets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts within various engineering disciplines/specialties and varying levels of technical expertise and to achieve assigned goals for compliant operations.
Considerable knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA, NEPA, and Laboratory safety policies and procedures.
Considerable knowledge and skills within one or more engineering disciplines, i.e., electrical, mechanical, structural, nuclear/reactor, etc.
Considerable ability to work both individually or as part of a cross functional team to achieve goals.
Considerable knowledge of nuclear facilities and their operations, PAAA and ORPS requirements, radiological protection and waste management's practices and requirements.
Deliverables will be prepared as directed by the Technical Representative and approved by the Technical Representative.
All work will be performed under Argonne's Quality Assurance Program. All work will be reviewed and approved by Argonne Management. The Technical Representative will inspect work to confirm that deliverables meet SOW requirements.
This position reporting will be based on location selected.
