Job Description:
As an Operations Research Analyst, you will work in our Advanced Analytics team building out the next generation analytical tools for the cloud computing industry. Your primary objective will be to build out analytical tools in Java based on pre defined prototypes. This will involve problem definition, variable/parameter identification, model formulation, and integration into the existing product. As a result, you will serve as the primary liason between this group and Engineering.
Responsibilities:
--Assist in model definition and algorithm development for analytical applications (such as pattern recognition, forecasting, root cause analysis, bottleneck identification, etc.)
--Productize prototypes into the existing software (by working with the development group)
--Support the development of the Analytics Framework, which is an effort to streamline the use of analytical applications from the software (by working with the development group)
Qualifications:
Required
--Minimum 2 years of experience with coding algorithms in Java
--MS in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related areas
Familiarity with following tools/technologies
--Programming: C, C++, Java, VB/VBA
--Databases: MySQL, DB2, and/or Oracle databases
--Modeling Language: GAMS
--Solver: CPLEX, COIN-OR
Preferred
--Experience with working on optimization models through a Java interface
--Experience with commercial software development
