Overview:We are currently searching for a Payroll Operations Specialist at our offices in Glenview. This individual will be responsible for variety of tasks pertaining to ACH file transmission and payroll system maintenance and reporting. Partnering with the with our customer service, payroll tax and other operational teams, they ensure the timeliness and accuracy of payments payrolls run and help create a smooth payroll process for clients and their employees.
Responsibilities:
Process manual payrolls and monitor no-touch processes in our system
Create and transmit daily ACH files
Create daily tax files for internal consumption
Create and/or transmit ancillary files on daily, weekly, or monthly basis (e.g., vendor billing, 401k service users)
Work with internal customers to execute one-time company changes (e.g., bank changes, adding states)
Work with internal customers to execute current-quarter payroll adjustments
Execute prior-quarter payroll adjustments as part of the amendment process
Execute W2 corrections during year-end
Research payroll engine calculation inquiries utilizing specialized resources available only to key personnel
Project- and/or process-specific development, testing, validation, documentation, and training; pertaining to items such as tax calculation updates, payroll engine upgrades, product enhancements, and infrastructure improvements
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess expert knowledge of payroll administration with experience processing payroll in a service bureau environment. This individual must be technology savvy and have excellent communication skills, strong problem solving and analytical abilities and have a passion for providing a seamless payroll experience for customers. They have a high sense of urgency and are a natural multi-tasker and collaborator. In addition, they are eager to learn and stay abreast of the latest developments in payroll regulation.
This individual must have 2-4 years of payroll processing experience in a service bureau setting. CPP certification and experience using SalesForce.com a plus.
