Optical Engineer General Photonics

Description: MS or PhD in EE, physics, or optics and 2 years industrial experience in the field of fiber optic instrumentation or communications. General Photonics is a vertically integrated company with products ranging from instruments, to modules, to components. For this position, we need a person able to handle passive component prototyping (including design and alignment), device performance evaluation, automated testing setup (via LabView or other software), instrument calibration, and system integration. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and be responsible & able to independently carry out projects from start to finish. A good understanding of polarization control, signal monitoring and measurement is a plus.
