Optical Program Manager Avo Photonics
To support its continued exciting growth, Avo is seeking a number of individuals that can fill the role of Optical Program Managers. These are senior engineering/upper management positions that initially report directly to the CTO and will eventually comprise the new Programs Office division.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple photonic-based programs, provide system engineering direction to internal Team, and present technical, schedule, and cost data to customer.
Perform engineering analysis of product requirements and assist in deriving optical, mechanical, and electrical solutions.
Create optical / laser physics models of component designs and derive tolerances OR create solid mechanical models of components and systems
Provide hands-on skills to help produce prototypes
Assist in component sourcing and vendor management
Prepare and present technical status reviews
Requirements
B.S. in Optical or Mechanical Engineering or Physics
Program/Project Management or System Engineering experience desired
Experience with Zemax, ASAP, GLAD or SolidWorks desired
Understanding of optical component assembly / packaging processes
Experience with scientific/engineering software analysis tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
US Citizen.
