Position Summary:
The Oracle Business Analyst is to provide functional knowledge and best practice business process expertise across the Manufacturing and SCM modules of Oracle: INV, BOM, WIP, OM, Shipping, Costing, Oracle Project Contracts, Oracle Project Management and iStore. He or she provides guidance to maintain and enhance business systems to satisfy the business needs and ensure corporate strategic advantage. He or she must ensure that enhancements and new systems are well-designed and successfully implemented.
Responsibilities:
Learn evaluate, analyze, and understand the current state of the business processes.
Use knowledge of best practices and functional expertise within the scope of the Oracle Applications to drive change in the organization through technology and business process redesign, maximizing the return on investment of our Oracle Applications implementation.
As project assignments allow, participate in the support/analysis/resolution of critical production application issues to protect end users? ability to run the business
Actively participate in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle and Change Control processes including: requirements gathering and translation, analysis, documentation of functional and technical design specifications, solution design, development oversight, testing/Conference Room Pilots, sign-off, training, and implementation.
Understand, validate, and document business needs, distinguish between needs and wants, identify gaps between business needs and standard Oracle functionality, design and document solution that fills gap, and provide detailed business requirements specification for developers as appropriate.
Develop, document, and fully execute testing plans to assess the integrity and accuracy of business processes, module functionality setups and modifications, enhancements/customizations, and patches
Contribute to ongoing project management; identify/document tasks/deliverables, create project schedules, assign tasks, perform project oversight, provide project status, work with management/team members/users to ensure project stays on schedule, and negotiate/adjust resources and priorities.
Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training/demo/presentations as required.
Develop and maintain business process documentation in flowchart and narrative form as necessary to support compliance (External Audit, SOX).
Improve the use and integration of other corporate business systems.
Required Skills:
Should have minimum 8 to 10 years of Strong Oracle Functional experience with the below Oracle Application modules like INV, BOM, WIP, OM, Shipping, Costing, iStore, Project Accounting and Management, Basic HRMS and Self Service HR
Implementation, upgrade and Production Support experience
Education and Experience:
BS /MIS or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite of above Application Modules
R12 Experience is an added advantage.
