Qualifications:
We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator with experience maintaining Oracle for high-scale, consumer-facing websites. The ideal candidate will have good working level experience with Oracle in a production environment. If you are eager to expand your working knowledge of Oracle, solve mission critical business problems, working alongside a seasoned team of Oracle DBAs, then this is the team for you.
We are looking for a team member that actively participates in community debate by database professionals, forums and constantly asks constructive questions regarding entrenched viewpoints and pushes existing boundaries. You will join the Active Network,s Database Administration team to support a wide variety of products.
Responsibilities:
? Work with various teams and collect metrics from existing database systems in order to outline the hardware requirements for new Oracle development and production environment.
? Cross-training with DBA team members in order to provide broader support across multiple Oracle systems.
? Development of Build Documents and Run Books for support of production systems. Assist in developing and documenting policies, standard operating procedures, guidelines for Command Center operations, and ensuring consistency within these areas.
? Analyze server performance, and develop solutions including hardware modifications, OS configuration changes and indexing.
Education/Experience:
? Either a Bachelor,s Degree or three years,experience as a Database Administrator.
? Experience as a DBA supporting Oracle Database in a production environment to include:
? 3 years Installation, configuration, upgrading, patching, monitoring of a clustered production level
implementation
? 3 years Backup and recovery implementation and documentation.
? 2 years system administration as related to database administration: Installing, patching and troubleshooting, basic user management, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
? Experience with other database platforms a plus.
? Experience in MNC is a plus
? ITIL qualification is a plus
