The Order Desk at Palo Alto Networks resides within the Sales Operations department. The Order Desk function receives all purchase orders from Palo Alto Networks' distributors and direct resellers in each of the four regions (North America, EMEA, Japan & APAC).
Each purchase order is reviewed for accuracy to ensure it matches approved quotes, adheres to contract and licensing terms, meets Palo Alto Networks revenue recognition policies and is being placed by an authorized reseller partner. Once a purchase order is deemed clean, certain activities in Salesforce.com are administered before the purchase order and related documentation are transferred to Order Fulfillment for final processing and shipping.
The Order Desk Representative needs to have excellent written and verbal skills, must be detailed oriented, possess excellent time management discipline, have experience in CRM system (preferably Salesforce.com), have proficiency with MS Office products, be able to foster relationships with key procurement personnel at distributors or direct resellers, provide excellent customer service while following up on order status, purchase order corrections or issues, etc. Willingness to work extended hours depending on month-end or quarter-end workload.
