The Order Entry Training Specialist is responsible for assisting with curriculum development, planning, organizing, training/education, of Remedi?s pharmacy operating system, document management system and any of its auxiliary systems, as associated with the Order Entry and Medical Records departments.
Responsible helping to identifying and assessing training needs within the departments as associated with the pharmacy system
Responsible for assisting with designing and coordinating written instructional framework based training curriculum and on the job handout materials to include, but not limited to, quick reference sheets, SIG codes and testing of SIG codes for understanding,ALTkey sheets, document management proficiency, as well as proficiency of the pharmacy operating system.
Reports to Vice President of Pharmacy Operations on training progression and completion, instructor led training programs, knowledge and productivity advancement of employees, and assessment of meeting dept goals.
Must be able to systematically and uniformly instruct employees on the functionality of the pharmacy operating and document management systems.
As evidenced by follow up progress assessments or as directed by manager, responsible for follow up training of staff either group or individual to ensure full system comprehension is achieved.
Works collaboratively with IT and other departments ensuring any technical modifications, are documented and trained to all appropriate staff in a timely manner..
Assists with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered to during training sessions.
Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures. Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.

High School graduate or equivalent required, College degree desired, current national/state pharmacy certification required, above average computer knowledge, skills required, must have basic understanding of medical terminology, math and analytical skills.
Minimum of three (3) years in an instructional leadership role preferably working as a pharmacy technician, order entry, medical records technician in a retail environment or Long Term care pharmacy preferred, experience with alpha-numeric data entry desired.
Must be able to communicate very effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language. Must have a high degree of customer service focus and problem solving ability.
Must be dependable with ability to be flexible to meet non-traditional training hours e.g. training at later times of the day or weekends as required to meet the needs of employees or new hires as needed, function independently and works under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines. Must have strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills, ability to problem solve. Must be able to travel frequently as required by company training needs.
This position must exhibit maturity in judgment.

High frequency of contact with employees and customers with limited contact with guests and vendor requires highly effective interpersonal skills exhibiting a pleasant out-going and caring attitude, the ability to interact positively with a professional attitude and demeanor.
This position will be exposed to highly confidential information and data that disclosed would be against Federal and State HIPPA law and contrary to the company?s policies and to professional ethics.
This position requires the ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or lift, carry, push or move objects. Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time during shift.
Mental/ Visual Demands:
Flow of work requires normal mental and visual demands.
