We are looking for a detail oriented self-starter to join our Sales Operations Department as an Order Processing Specialist. In this role you will be responsible to process incoming Sales orders for all Avalara product and service lines.
Ensures that incoming orders are complete, accurate, and comply with company policies regarding order integrity and approval.
Assists sales staff to complete or correct unsatisfactory orders as necessary.
Maintains sales order files (paper & electronic) to ensure all required documentation is compiled prior to delivering service.
Edits orders in Avalaras order processing system(s).
Ensures that purchased services are made available for customer by provisioning service or routing additional service needs to internal and external delivery teams.
Creates new customer and contract entries in Avalaras accounting databases as needed.
Edits existing contract entries in Avalaras accounting databases as needed. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and assists management to implement them.
Provides weekly and monthly order reporting to management as well as any ad-hoc reporting as requested.
Experience and Skills:
Two year associates degree required. Four year degree in business or related field preferred.
Experience with accounting or order entry software preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required. Advanced excel skills desired.
Conscientious work ethic and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work at high levels of quality with minimal supervision.
Ability to organize work according to monthly, weekly and daily calendars.
Ability to work well in a deadline-oriented environment.
Strong inter-personal and communications skills.
Problem-solving skills to promptly and proactively identify and address issues in team environment and the attention to follow-up to avert problems.
