Cogent HMG is the industry leader in developing and managing hospital medicine programs nationwide. We align with dozens of hospitals to integrate hospitalist programs that best serve patient care needs and achieve goals of quality, safety, efficiency and service. We are currently seeking an experienced Organizational Development Coordinator to work at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN. The ideal candidate will coordinate and flawlessly execute the logistics associated with Cogent HMG?s Education, Enhancement, and Environment initiatives, with the goal of inspiring, supporting and developing its employees. This includes coordination of Academy at Cogent HMG, employee enhancement programs, events and committees, and assisting with workplace enrichment tasks and projects. This position will also contribute to the development of more advanced logistics and record-keeping for the Organizational Development efforts and Cogent HMG.
Essential Functions include, but are NOT limited to:
Coordinate meeting, hospitality, and travel logistics for ALL Academy at Cogent HMG training sessions for corporate and field-based employees.
Manage Outlook calendar and scheduling for all activities pertaining to OD and Academy at Cogent HMG.
Provide daily logistical support to the office manager on tasks associated with enhancement of the corporate office environment.
Assist with onboarding of new corporate hires as related to Organizational and Employee Development.
Coordinate the company?s Food Truck Program (vendor and property management relations, communication, promotion, etc.).
Spearhead brainstorming and execution of employee recognition efforts.
Contribute ideas to the employee enhancement and events committees.
Creatively and proactively trouble-shoot challenges and display timely problem-solving efforts.
Provide high-level hospitality-based customer service to co-workers, field-based employees, vendors, and clients.
Serve as the main point of contact for Academy at Cogent HMG vendors and business partners.
Initiate communication with new vendors and business contacts at the direction of the Training Director.
Create Academy at Cogent HMG procedure manual.
Create and organize electronic and manual filing system for OD documents.
Maintain and update the OD and Academy at Cogent HMG pages on CHIP.
Reconcile Academy at Cogent HMG expenses on a monthly basis.
Occasionally deliver Cogent HMG orientation lectures for new corporate hires.
Other duties as required.
Key Authority Points (in collaboration with Training Director and Chief People & Performance Officer, with primary accountability for):
Assist members of the OD team with projects as approved by the Training Director
Oversee and master Academy at Cogent HMG?s many logistical challenges
Support all technical training efforts and offerings
Lead training efforts as requested by the Training Director
Develop relevant training opportunities for Academy at Cogent HMG facilitators
Maintain cutting-edge content for all relevant training needs
Education, Training and Experience:
BSc or BA preferred plus 3-5 years of relevant experience
Prior training, logistics, and industry experience required
Allied Health Degree helpful but not required (RN, RPT, OTR, SLP, RT, PA, NP)
Ability to discern critical information and creatively solve problems
