The Construction/Contractor Market Specialist (CMS) focuses on developing and maintaining the construction market within their specified geographic responsibility and developing Contractor and A&E relationships and sales. Encourages sales and provides technical support while promoting customer service and upholding the Ryan Herco Flow Solutions company image. Responsible for providing excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer requests, solving problems, answering questions, and entering orders. Cultivates and maintains customer relationships via telephone. Maximizes customer contact on the phone by turning inquiries into sales order opportunities. Writes bids and quotations when appropriate and performs follow-up procedures. Documents all customer contact and sales activities in the ACS system. Updates and maintains database.
Uses Reed Connect to mine projects and manage sales pipeline.
Coaches and mentors the FSR?s in his market to develop Contractor relationships.
Identify key projects.
Promotes core contractor product portfolio.
Customer entertainment and rapport development.
Pro-actively shares projects with Contractors through the Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) to build relationship.
Calls on A&E Firms independently and in colaboration with key suppliers.
Registers for specification credit for as many products specified on as many projects as possible.
Visits Contractor ?plan room" to see what they are bidding.
Works with estimators for budgetary pricing.
Works with key suppliers for sales support, competitive pricing and incentives.
Works with Purchasing personnel or Project managers to secure orders.
Works with ISR Specialist to prepare submittal package.
Promotes fusion equipment, tools and accessories.
Works closely with Project Managers to ensure all expectations are met minimizing any project delays.
Coordinates Job Start Ups, Certifications.
Frequent jobsite visits and site follow up.
Manages and coordinates product returns and all applicable restocking charges.
2+ years of proven sales and/or customer service experience within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering or construction environment.
Some college preferred.
Understands technical/mechanical issues and can leverage previous technical experience to solve customer's technical problems.
Establishes rapport by developing client relationship and addressing customer concerns.
Excellent people skills. Interacts effectively and works productively with a wide range of people.
Organized and detail-oriented

Excellent written and oral communication skills
