Accurately identifies patients and specimens. Perform successful venipuncture on patients ranging from infants to geriatric using the correct technique and with little discomfort to the patient. Knowledge of specimen requirements. Knowledge of use of personal protective equipment. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Provide patient care and excellent customer service. Maintain strict confidentiality. Consistently displays a positive attitude and a personal commitment to excellence. Must maintain professional composure and confidence during stressful situations. Presents neat appearance in proper attire and identification, as required by the position and THML policy. Report to work on time and meets acceptable standards for attendance. Must be able to work with little supervision, be highly detail oriented, able to prioritize and get along well with others. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Phlebotomy Supervisor.
