This position assists with the overall technical review, recommendation, design, planning, delivery and maintenance of technical projects and initiatives. Desktop Engineer must be able to serve, as a subject matter expert on hardware, Windows OS, SCCM, group polices, Active Directory, firewall, antivirus and other security software. Will support enterprise-level technical configuration of end-devices such as, laptops, desktops, smart phones, android and Ipads.
Qualifications:
3+ years of administering SCCM (package deployment, running queries, building reports and customization)
Experience with software packaging and scripting
Experienced in rollouts of MS operating system and related products
Expertise in AD directory services, ( OU management and planning, design and implementing group polices)
Responsible for global asset patch strategy including: standards, package definition, testing, change control, and deployment approval
Managed systems consoles for antivirus, firewall, hard drive encryption, and backup software
Must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to work in fast paced global environment
Demonstrated experience in supporting the needs of mid-size corporation, 1000+ end users
Expertise in desktop monitoring, utilization, capacity planning, and management systems, and searching for root cause analysis
Effective documentation skills are essential, experience with SharePoint a plus.
Conduct and manage special projects as assigned. This includes work breakdowns, task definition, team leadership, vendor coordination and regular status reporting.
Create and maintain asset (desktop, laptop, virtual machine) build standards
