Job Description:
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to work in the Internet and/or games industry in a fast-paced start-up, with opportunities for advancement. The successful candidate will manage email customer support responding to customer inquiries as well as communicating issues and trends to the PlayFirst site team. The ideal candidate has good written communication skills, excellent customer service skills and has a strong interest in playing casual computer games. And foremost, loves our games and enjoys working with our customers.
Please note this position is part time ? 20 hours per week, five days a week.
Responsibilities:
Perform customer and technical support via phone and e-mail.
Maintain technical support resources (i.e., FAQs, Knowledgebase's and standardized responses)
Manage and moderate the community forums
Help with social media outreach by posting to Facebook and Twitter regularly
Performing basic reporting and ad hoc queries
Serve as a first point-of-contact for all onsite visitors and clients
Other duties may be assigned as needed, including small administrative support tasks
Requirements:
1-2 years relevant work experience
Proven customer service skills
Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft office suite
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Current authorization to work in the US
Preferred:
BS in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Economics, Math or Computer Science)
Moderating online forums/user generated content
Playing video games and a strong interest in the computer game industry
Salary to be determined by education and experience.
