The Position: Ecommerce Marketing Consultant
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Location: New York, NY ? you will be asked to be onsite at least 50% of the time.
Goal: To increase revenue from Alacrastore.com.
About the Alacra Store
The AlacraStore is a unique content marketplace where business researchers can find information from over 100 of the world?s top databases. Content includes research reports on corporate credit, economics, industry research, market research, and forecast data. The Store contains millions of unique pages to bring in customers as they search for niche topics from the long tail.
You will work with a small, dedicated team of demand generators to increase sales at a unique ecommerce site. The team includes experienced B2B marketers, a top grade graphic designer, and experienced site developers.
The Ecommerce Program Manager is responsible for increasing sales at the AlacraStore, our pay-per-view content service. Responsibilities include:
Marketing Programs to bring in repeat and new buyers of content. Marketing programs will include the use of real time opportunities and planned programs to reach out to subscribers.
Develop creative ideas and improvements for site design, enhancements, and functionality to increase traffic and sales.
Develop creative ideas based on data to increase sales.
Maintenance and monitoring of relevant social traffic and participation.
Reporting on ecommerce analytics related to program and organic success.
Assisting with Store Product Development by building rapport with the ecommerce developer, content manager, and database manager.
Increase Goal Conversions (Orders)
Increase repeat buyers as a % of all buyers.
Increase Site Traffic
Optimize Indexation %
Increase Social Conversations
Increase email engagement (Opens, CTR)
Increase email list growth.
Decrease unsubscribes and bounces.
What you Bring to the Table:
Expertise with Ecommerce principles and tools.
Experience designing revenue producing emails.
Google Analytics ninja.
Understand buyer personas
Familiar with Moz and other tools.
Knowledge of SEO/SEM techniques and stays up to date.
Demonstrated success with bringing in repeat buyers and finding ways to reach new buyers in target personas. When we say ?demonstrated success? we mean that you have reports and a portfolio of before and after work. It?s ok if you need to scrub names.
3-5 Years of experience in ecommerce.
College degree in a related discipline.
Experience with high value content sales, research sales, and ecommerce sites preferred
