Part?time Interior DesignerEtsy is seeking a Part-time interior designer. The Interior Designer?s tasks will involve working with the Space Planning and Interior Design Lead on conference rooms, small meeting rooms, offices and lounge spaces.

The Facilities Team is responsible for insuring the safety, functionality and overall positive vibrations of Etsy?s offices. We consider our offices a platform to inspire visitors, celebrate Etsy?s culture and promote independent artists and craftspeople. Our offices give us a vivid and tactile way to explain our marketplace, our business model and the value people derive from joining Etsy.

About the Job
As the company grows and expands, the facilities team prioritizes the strategic implementation of sustainable practices. They combine art and design with positive ecological, social and wellness benefits. Every week, independent crafters, community members, prospective hires, media crews and participants in our public-facing programs visit the Etsy offices. The facilities team must tend, plan and evolve the spaces that serve as some of Etsy?s most important communications and recruiting tools.
Responsibilities:
Create design proposals for specific spaces/areas in line with provided art direction, schedule, budget and Etsy brand
Research materials, get estimate quotes and delivery times
Source, order and track fabrics and products for the designs
Measuring spaces and rooms. Verify and make updates to existing floor plans
Produce and/or assist in office furniture layouts
Provide detailed specifications to support Etsy artisans/fabricators (if needed drawings, dimensions and other support material)
About You
1-2 Years minimum experience working with commercial spaces
Experience with custom furniture, commercial grade fabrics, finishes and decorative items
Experience in sampling and sourcing for projects
Strong design and presentation skills
A good knowledge of NYC building codes
Ability to develop accurate floor plans in AutoCAD and Illustrator
Proficiency in Google SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite Programs and mac based platform
