Part Time Training Specialist International Catastrophe Insurance

The Training Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively with ICAT Leadership to deliver and maintain a high-quality training and development program for ICAT employees. This includes partnering with course facilitators to revise and update materials, schedule training classes, evaluate classes and maintain training records.
Under supervision of the Learning and Marketing Communications Senior Manager, the Training Specialist will promote a culture of continuous learning for leaders, individuals, and teams by providing diverse learning and development opportunities to increase skills and drive corporate performance.
Maintenance and Implementation
?X Maintains current learning and development program by working closely with facilitators, SMEs and stakeholders to update and revise materials as needed to ensure quality standards are met.
?X Coordinates and schedules training including facilitators, participants and facility set-up.
?X Prepares and prints all training materials and resources.
?X Facilitates and co-facilitates instructor led and one-on-one training, including New Hire Orientation.
?X Documents and communicates training attendance and examination results.
?X Reviews course evaluations, examination results and job/knowledge performance to assess the effectiveness of the training and development program.
?X Facilitate the transition of instructor led training programs to self-paced and on-demand format.
?X Seeks out new ideas and methods to improve training approach, content and materials to existing curriculum.
?X Maintains accurate learning and development related data in the LMS.
?X Manages eLearning class participation and feedback.
Other duties as assigned.
Works under the direct supervision of the Learning and Marketing Communications Senior Manager. This position does not supervise other personnel.

?X Bachelor-s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or related field or equivalent experience required.
?X Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and ADDIE development model.
?X Effective PC skills including MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.
?X Ability to function independently in a multi-tasking environment.
?X Ability to interact comfortably with employees at all levels of the organization.
?X Excellent interpersonal skills with strong collaboration and consensus building ability.
?X Strong planning and organizational skills.
Licenses or Designations
?X CPLP and/or (S)PHR certification preferred.
?X Certifications in training and development such as DDI, Myers Briggs, etc. preferred.
Physical Work Demands
?X Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
?X Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
?X Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
?X Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
