The Partner Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting and establishing partnerships with channel partners. He/she will work closely with the Volusion Business Development team to actively grow Volusion?s partner network through the acquisition of new partners within specific business verticals, and by generating business through existing relationships.
Establishes productive professional relationships with existing and new partners
Meets assigned targets for partners with specific store/revenue requirements or within desired industries
Maintain accurate forecasting of potential partner opportunities and provides detail updates on pending opportunities
Researches and compiles partner prospects lists
Proactively outbounds potential partners to promote Volusion Partner Program and establish key points of contact
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates potential partner needs
Discusses different partnership options and determines best fit for both parties Effectively communicates potential partner needs and trends to Partner Manager
Drives adoption of company programs among new partners
Stays up to date with competitors and industry information to successfully market Volusion
Logs all activity with partners for seamless information transfer between acquisitions and management
Provides expert company and product knowledge to effectively market Volusion to potential partners
BS/BA degree preferably in marketing, communications, advertising, or business.
Experience with Salesforce a must
Knowledge of ecommerce and internet-based business models
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Candidate must have strong analytical and presentation skills, be detail oriented and a self-starter
Experience with search engine, online advertising, and/or direct marketing strongly preferred
