Mechanical Drafter / Patent DrafterPatent illustrators help our customers bring their inventions to life with drawings that translate written descriptions into the visual. These drawings are essential since the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) uses them as part of the patent assessment process.
This position is a unique opportunity to meld art and mechanics and create very precise work. Our new Mechanical Drafter / Patent Drafter will join a talented team of artists who are also skilled at mechanical drafting.
What you?ll do:
Create patent drawings using CADRA, etc. that meet the standards and expectations of the USPTO.
Accurately depict desired designs and product characteristics by producing a variety of assembly drawings, detailed drawings, and artwork.
Qualifications:
2-3+ years of drafting and mechanical experience.
Familiar with principles of isometric projection and construction.
Must be deadline-oriented, artistic, and mechanically-inclined.
Knowledge of CADRA, CADAM, MICROCADAM, CATIA and/or Adobe Acrobat (preferred).
