Payload Integration Processor / Specialist XCOR Aerospace
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED XCOR is seeking a payload integration processor to support Lynx research and education missions within the emerging commercial suborbital space flight market .
This is an entry level job, on the job train ing will be provided, but candidate must be comfortable with the hands - on payload integration process , client/customer relations, contract administration , and technical writing .
The job requires an individual who thinks like an engineer, but communicates like a marketer . We are looking for an enterprising individual who takes initiative, is well - organized, and technically competent. The successful c andidate will be required to handle multiple tasks at a time, problem - solve, think different, and manage tim e and deadlines. This person will possess excellent planning, communication, written , and analytical skills.
Duties entail , but are not limited to, conducting physical and analytical payload integration of experiments onto XCOR?s Lynx vehicle ; in terfacing with payload customers; administ ering payload flight contracts, including keeping track of sc hedules, invoicing, and budgets; establishing and maintaining a payload manifest system; maintaining payload related documents such as the Payload User ?s Guide an d Interface Control Document ; and technical writing of proposals and reports.
Tasks / Essential Functions
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Day to day organization and administration of XCOR ?s payload flights
Maintain payl oad integration from process planning to analytical integration, physical integration, through to flight and post - flight operations.
Assist with payload development
Establish payload safety review, includes checklist and schedules
Schedule and attend pay load integration meetings and reviews
Maintain payload flight contract schedules , budgets , and invoices
Revise, control , and disseminate payload process document s
Assist with contract preparation
Assist with c lient/customer relations and management of sal es leads and contacts
Produce technical reports and proposals (with subject matter expert input)
Bachelor?s Degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering preferred
Skills / Experience
Demonstrated technical writing skills
Interpersonal skills : effective communication , creative problem solving, st rategic thinking, team building, ability to influence
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), as well as design and graphics programs such as CAD, SolidWorks, and Photoshop , Illustrator, and/or similar. Some programming may be required.
Candidate will be required to v isit client U.S. and international business sites. Passport will be required.
Employee will have ?on the job training? in Mojave, CA until company relocates to the new R & D Headquarters in Midland, TX. The specific date of the Midland move is to be determined.
Salary: dependent on experience.

Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs and climb a 15ft ladder.
Must be a U.S. citizen or hold Resident Alien status (aka Green Card).
Must be proficient in spoken and written standard American English.
Two professional references are required.
