Department:Finance and Accounting
Reports to:Payment Settlement Manager
This position works across multiple departments, including Accounting, Application Operations, Customer Support, and client teams. The position reports directly to the Payment Settlement Manager. Primary responsibilities will be monitoring electronic payment settlement between healthcare providers, health plans and/or patients. There will be a lot of opportunity for growth within the department. The individual must have the ability to multi-task and maintain a resilient, flexible attitude with lots of enthusiasm.
Monitor electronic payment settlement (e.g., EFT, ACH, etc.) between healthcare providers, health plans, and/or patients to ensure accurate processing
Reconcile expected payment distributions and receipts per our electronic platform to actual activity with financial institutions
Research and follow-up on reconciling items, as needed
Complete daily and monthly settlement reports for compliance and audit purposes
Knowledge of NACHA rules and understanding of electronic payments, including EFT, ACH, eCheck and Check 21
Ability to effectively communicate across multiple departments
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High ethical and moral standards
Ability to act discretely with confidential information
Positive and enthusiastic attitude
Team-oriented with a commitment to the success of everyone in the company
Treasury background and working knowledge of electronic payments
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Financial reconciliation and analysis skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
3 or more years of related work experience
Bachelor?s degree, MBA preferred
