Payment Settlement Senior Manager InstaMed Communications

The ideal candidate will have a Financial Services background with Treasury Management focus. Additional requirements include practical knowledge of Trust and/or Custodial accounts, as well Merchant Payment Processing. This position works across multiple departments, including Accounting, Contracting, Application Operations, Customer Support, and client teams. The position reports to the Vice President, Finance and Accounting.
Responsibilities include a detailed understanding of existing payment business models and 3rd party payment processing contracts. This individual will oversee the Payment Settlement function and assist in the daily reconciliation and monitoring of electronic payment settlement between healthcare providers, health plans, and/or patients. The individual will design and enhance existing policy and procedures for Payment Settlement and Risk Management. The individual will also monitor and evaluate loss/fraud transactions and design appropriate monitoring procedures, as well as prevention policies. This individual must have the ability to multi-task and maintain a resilient, flexible attitude with lots of enthusiasm.
Specific Job Responsibilities include:
Oversee Payment Settlement function
Detailed understanding of 3rd party payment processing contracts
Approve credit and underwriting decisions
Design, update, and/or enhance Payment Settlement and Risk Management policies and procedures
Review daily electronic payment settlement (EFT, ACH, etc.) between healthcare providers, health plans, and/or patients to ensure they are processed accurately
Assist in reconciliation of expected payment distributions and receipts per our electronic platform to actual activity with financial institutions
Assist in research and follow up on reconciling items as needed
Approve daily and monthly settlement reports for compliance and audit purpose
Specific Job Skills include:
Knowledge of NACHA rules and understanding of electronic funds transfers, including ACH, eCheck, Check21
Ability to effectively communicate across multiple departments, as well as with clients
Self-Motivated, and possess the ability to motivate others
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Be on the cutting edge of electronic payment processing, understanding NACHA rules, new payment products, and continually learning in an entrepreneurial environment

Experience / Requirements:
Financial Services background:
Treasury Management focus
Trust and/or Custodial accounts
Merchant Payment Processing
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Financial reconciliation and analysis skills
Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
