THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We?re looking for a Payroll Administrator with the drive and passion to manage the payroll processing operations of a rapidly growing and evolving start-up.
Ideally, you?ll bring a background in payroll and favorably, some experience in the food industry. You have strict attention to detail, superb time management skills and the ability to implement new systems to keep our business running smoothly.
About the role
Process payroll, timesheets, and expense reports for 500+ employees
Manages daily administration of weekly and bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness of processing and distribution of pay.
Manages Kronos or similar timekeeping system and processes.
Responsible for processing all incentives timely and accurately.
Manages the compilation and preparation of complex payroll data, complying with all federal and state withholding requirements, direct deposit, and other benefit related deductions.
Responsible for annual W-2 processing.
Prepares worker?s compensation returns and other government documents as needed.
Assists external auditors as well as other accounting departments with payroll related information and issues.
Assists in establishing payroll work procedures, work schedules, appropriate controls and manages payroll workflow to ensure accurate timely completion of tasks and processing of the company payroll.
Responsible for quarterly and annual payroll reconciliations and reporting.
Track and process bonus and stipend disbursements throughout the year
Completing fiscal year-end ERISA testing and tax reporting (5500s)
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Supports and reports directly to Controller and will work closely with the Director of HR
Minimum of three years payroll experience is required.
In depth knowledge of multi-state employment law as it relates to payroll is required.
Knowledge of, and experience in, managing various payroll issues such as equity compensation, incentive plans, and 401(k).
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
