Who We Want:
As a member of a small global finance team in a hyper growth stage company you will be responsible for processing and maintaining all things related to payroll.
We are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and handle the current
transactional nature of this position. The ideal candidate will be someone with the skills and experience necessary to hit the ground running. Flexibility and a desire and passion to constantly learn and push yourself is absolutely essential to succeed in this environment.
Initial duties of this role are:
Prepare the Company?s monthly and semi-monthly payrolls in a multi-jurisdictional and international environment.
Investigate and resolve employee queries in a timely manner
Perform all general ledger entries related to payroll and employee compensation and manage the associated accounting reconciliations and accrual accounts
Maintain a strong communication channel with the HR
department on payroll related issues
Working with our cross functional teams in accounts payable and finance
Maintain vendor processing and invoice payments for both Domestic and International
Manage the relocation process for all domestic and international employees
Pro-actively recommend changes in procedures and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency of the payroll function
Produce all manner of Payroll and Headcount related reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
Education
Bachelors degree, or very significant levels of
relevant hands on work experience of running a payroll function
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) qualification or
suitable alternative.
Required Experience
3-5 years of hands on experience processing payrolls for
US and International based employees
Extremely strong oral and written communication skills and a high level of tact with the ability to handle sensitive compensation information
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft desktop software
Desired Experience
We are looking for someone who is experienced in payroll accounting as well as payroll processing in a mid-size company.
Desired Skills
Prior experience of using Workday payroll software application
Prior experience of working with outside payroll bureaus in foreign locations on different time-zones
Knowledge of industry best practices around payroll
