We love what we do -- and it shows! LivingSocial?s Accounting Department is the backbone to the back office operations. The Payroll Department is responsible for processing payroll changes, paying our employees, reconciling the taxes and recording the transactions into the general ledger.
We?re looking for a team player to be our Payroll Specialist. This Specialist will help with all aspects of payroll and recordation.
Responsibilities:
Payroll
Responsible for the processing of domestic payrolls
Input data into payroll system
Manage new hires, terminations, and employee changes
Includes new hire verification set up
Includes manual data entry / uploads
Including manual check printing
Positive Pay file update at bank
Terminations processing of final pay including PTO payout
Upload time from time and attendance
Analyze HR?s MSM data to insure proper entry in to the system
Maternity leave and STD calculations and payments
Retro changes as necessary
Salary adjustments as necessary
Load various benefits files
Paycheck sorting / mailing
Process Merit increases (annual and one off)
Process bonus payments (annual and one off)
Stop Payments as needed (reissue if required)
Analyze and respond to commission disputes
Time and Attendance & PayeXpert
Account maintenance
Accounts
Employee types
Constant maintenance of the ADP PayeXpert and T&A software to insure proper and desired work flow.
PTO
Review and assist in clearing the outstanding PTO request
Track and make adjustments based on the new policy effective 7/1/2012
PTO 32 Hour overlap ? Collection and tracking
Standard/Adhoc Reporting
Adhoc reporting as requested
Customer Service
Maintain payroll inbox
Other various payroll duties as needed

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business discipline
1-3 years related experience in payroll
Understanding state payroll laws
Experience with ADP or other enterprise software package
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity to meet deadlines
Ability to maintain confidential information
