Description:Plateau is seeking a Senior UI Developer to work out of our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA, and contribute to the Product Engineering division.
Job Duties include:
o Develops and implements UI designs for the companys software product by building interfaces using HTML, CSS, JSP, and XML
o Works closely and effectively with other members of the UI and Development teams to produce interfaces that satisfy the companys business requirements
o Unit tests work and adheres to agreed-upon production requirements
o Adheres to version control processes and methodologies
o Mentors teammates in XML and JSP technologies
o Contributes to and follows the processes and procedures that govern UIs day-to-day activities and long-term goals
Required Qualifications:
o Expert in Adobe Flex and ActionScript
o Experience developing reusable Flex components
o Good understanding of the Flex data models and integration with remote services such as Blaze DS
o Should have strong visual design skills and a flair for developing UI components.
o Experience customizing existing Flex components
o Understanding of XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript development skills and cross browser compatibility issues.
o Expert skills in hand-coding and debugging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
o Intermediate skills in hand-coding and debugging XML, JSP, and Java
o Strong understanding of implementation issues related to web accessibility requirements such as the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative and the Section 508 rule
o Ability to strike a balance between quality of work and turn around time
o Ability and desire to work as a part of a team with web developers and senior software engineers
o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Ability to work well under pressure
o Minimum 3 years Web development experience
o Minimum 1 year experience with XML, JSP and Java
o Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle
o Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar discipline) from a four-year college or equivalent
o Experience with application servers including WebLogic, WebSphere, and IPlanet preferred
o Familiarity with PVCS VM version control software and PVCS Tracker bug-tracking software preferred.
