Plateau is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist our Product Engineering division.
Job Duties include:
o Modifies, implements and unit tests Java/J2EE software applications with the Java programming language.
o Assists in deploying and releasing software from engineering to quality control.
o Learns and employs commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in software development.
o Conforms to instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
o Works under immediate supervision.
o Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
o Typically reports to a senior/lead engineer or a manager.
o Opportunities would be available for candidates to participate in research activities involving the latest state of the art technologies.
Required Qualifications:
o Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or academic equivalent
o Experience in Java.
o Experience with HTML; knowledge of DHTML, CSS, JSP and JavaScript
o Familiar with Java server technologies such as servlets, and/or JSP.
o Familiar with OOA&D concepts.
o Familiar with relational databases; able to write simple SQL statements.
o Familiar with XML, DTD/Schema, SAX/DOM and Java programming with XML.
