Description
Varolii Performance Analysts conduct application performance and statistical data analysis. Through careful review of data, metrics and applications, Performance Analysts drive platform-level improvements, stability and new features into Varolii products. They also ensure that Varolii delivers the value it promises to clients by performing client-specific application analysis. Performance Analysts have a passion for data analysis and the ability to tell a compelling story with numbers.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform performance analysis and reporting on customer applications.
Conduct results reviews to target areas for more specific application analysis
Based on application analysis, develop business requirements for changes in the application in order to improve application results and ROI.
Recommend toolsets and utilities related to performance monitoring and analysis.
Work as a team to recommend and implement changes to improve application performance.
Validate post-release impacts of application changes to ensure desired effect.
Partner with Product Management to provide data-driven feature requests and prioritization
Develop and maintain a database of performance improvement recommendations and Varolii Best Practices as it relates to performance monitoring and analysis.
Define and publish metrics to provide a high-level dashboard view of overall Varolii application performance
Generate application performance data for Sales to utilize in their monthly and quarterly Business Review meetings.
Review, prioritize and generate other reports, as appropriate, from internal clients.
Research, investigate and recommend ways to automate data generation processes and tools in order to allow users to self-serve.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent data analysis skills
Ability to work in cross-functional teams
Ability to understand and document business requirements
Ability to work well within defined processes while also recognizing appropriate exception situations
High-level knowledge of systems developed and supported within the Varolii architecture
Medium to expert level Excel and Visio skills
UNIX, SQL and Database skills preferred
SaaS industry knowledge a plus
Education and Experience
BS/BA degree in math, information systems, statistics, business, or related field OR equivalent technical training and/or work experience
5+ years experience in performance analysis, systems analysis, technical support or related work experience.
Prior experience within a SaaS industry preferred.
