RedBrick Health is looking for an experienced individual to focus on ensuring high levels of application performance. This position requires an individual who is technically savvy and has exceptional reporting, data gathering, and analytical skills and willingness to be part of team building our new platform. The individual will either have a strong knowledge of performance analysis tools and automation, or, be an experienced software programmer with a desire to move into performance engineering.
Essential Job Functions
Designs and develops test automation to assess overall performance of an application. Assessment can include production simulation/load, functional regression, and profiling the system, database, and network areas.
Prepares test data and conducts test execution.
Documents test procedures, analysis and results of automated tests.
Gathers and analyzes data and makes recommendations to improve performance and stability of server and client side applications.
Identifies performance issues and areas of risk.
Works with the technology team to find solutions that improve performance, increase quality, and lower risk.
Participates in technical architecture and design discussions to determine the most appropriate solution model taking into consideration high performance, availability, failover and disaster recovery.
Ensures that capacity workload modeling and availability analysis is performed for a variety of platforms and environments.
Monitors server and client performance over time.
Provides technology team analysis of server and client application performance increases or decreases.
Provides analysis to systems, database and network teams to help quantify capacity needs; identify performance risk areas.
Essential Job Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
Either extensive knowledge of load testing tools and performance analysis tools, or, experienced software developer (3 years) interested in moving into Performance Engineering.
Ability to distill volumes of data, analyzes performance results, and diagnoses performance and capacity problems.
Knowledgeable in automated application testing and application performance testing concepts in Java and/or Groovy/Grails technologies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively convey issues and recommendations to the technology team.
