PERFORMANCE MODELING ENGINEER SandForce, Inc.

Responsibilities:

- Design functional models for next-generation SSD controllers based on architectural specifications.
- Implement functional models using a C++-based modeling framework.
- Generate reports on performance characteristics of functional model by running existing and newly acquired workloads through it.
- Present and explain performance results to others.



Qualifications:

- Must have demonstrated expertise in design and implementation of architecture models using C/C++.
- Must understand of multi-threading concepts.
- Must have experience and/or familiarity with SystemC, Testbuilder, or similar.
- Experience with device driver development under Linux and/or Windows desirable (but not necessary.)
- Demonstrated track-record in delivering medium-sized or larger software projects using C/C++.
- Experience and/or familiarity with SystemC, Testbuilder, or similar tools desirable.
- Familiarity with HDLs (e.g. Verilog and/or VHDL) desirable.
- Background in storage systems or disk drive technology, including SATA, SAS, SCSI, FC, or PCIe experience, desirable.


Education:

- BS required (MS or Ph.D. prefered) in Computer Science, Software Engineering with 7+ years experience, or equivalent.
