Responsibilities:
Utilize advanced knowledge in performance testing to generate performance benchmarks, stress tests, and measure product resiliency. The ability to read the system behavior and performance from a white box perspective is essential. Experience with commercial load generation tools and reporting methodologies is required. This person will develop complex performance tests for the FireEye security appliance system to measure system performance for all management functions, user interface activities, and malware detection services. You will work with the automation team to incorporate automated performance testing methods and metric reporting. Our detection methods address the three primary vectors; web traffic, email traffic, and data at rest file systems. This person will identify potential product issues and champion their successful resolution.
Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree or the foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field experience.
Must well work in a demanding, fast paced team environment
At least 7-10 years QA work experience testing network equipment such as Web Servers, Proxies, and Firewalls
Competent skills setting up and configuring networking products including Linux and Windows systems
Experience with traffic load generation and shaping tools such as JMETER, Spirent, IXIA, and dummynet
Very disciplined in collecting and documenting test metrics
Highly desirable:
Experience in a scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl, etc.)
Knowledge of security technologies such as SSL, IPSEC, SSH, or authentication protocols such as RADIUS
Mobile device malware testing
Network experience with intrusion detection methods
