We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Performance Testing Analyst II at our corporate office located in Atlanta, GA. (NOTE ? limited relocation assistance may be available)
PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Performance Testing Analyst II will work with the IT Software Development and Operations teams to define test objectives, lead performance testing engagements, and provide actionable analysis to help resolve performance bottlenecks. The testing analyst must have broad knowledge in performance testing methodology & tools, with an understanding of architecture and technology. This position requires a person who is highly skilled at handling complex technical situations and has exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
Provides performance testing services for enterprise applications and infrastructure, including: distributed internet technologies and infrastructure components such as network components, and server and client/PC devices adhering to QA compliance and standards.
Designs, develops and executes performance test cases and scripts through analysis of product specifications and software requirements.
Mentors onshore and offshore test team members.
Oversees and actively participates in performance test execution and the development of performance testing artifacts, including: performance test requirements, defect tracking and reporting, performance test plans, cases, scripts, reports, etc. for assigned projects.
Provides expertise on performance testing capabilities using Load Runner and mentors others in HP LoadRunner.
Designs and executes SOA services functional tests.
Participates in requirements/design reviews, project team meetings, and implementation planning on multiple concurrent projects.
Ensures all deadlines associated with testing are met as well as ensuring all defects within assigned areas are reported prior to production deployment with no new issues found post release.
Creates/supports daily metrics/status reporting to the Testing Manager.
Designs, develops, executes and analyzes test scripts for Load/Performance/Stress Testing.
Other Related Responsibilities
Participate in other testing and process improvement projects, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Expert level of knowledge with HP Load Runner Performance Suite & HP Quality Center.
Knowledge in AIX or similar tools. Familiarity with scripting is preferred.
Extensive experience with a detailed approach to testing process definition and documentation.
Extensive experience working with Firewalls, J2EE, Web Services, SOA, SOAP, security networks, Oracle and distributive environments.
Applied experience and analysis in designing, creating, maintaining, and executing performance scripts and log defects in order to recommend better solutions.
Experience setting up the performance environment.
Complete understanding of software development life cycle management practices and methodologies with emphasis on software defect identification.
Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot problems and find root causes.
Ability to quickly learn and absorb new material.
Ability to adapt to changing situations with ease and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
Ability to articulate and transfer knowledge in informal and formal settings.
Ability to interface with all levels and across organizational lines.
Self-starter with strong confidence level.
Ability to think ?outside of the box? with a creative approach to testing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Professional with ability to properly handle confidential information
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment (onsite and globally) with a desire to assist and share knowledge.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to work within a matrix organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
4 Year Bachelor?s Degree required
7+ years? performance testing experience, debugging latency issues, and optimizing environments.
10+ years? of software testing experience.
7+ years? Load / Performance Testing experience
7+ years? experience testing applications in Java, Unix, and Oracle
JOB DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs without assistance.
Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones.
This is a full time, permanent position and cannot support Visa sponsorship.
