is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Laboratory Assistant.The hours for this position are Tuesday to Saturday from 10-2.
We seek a highly motivated individual who can utilize their superior organizational skills to support the functions of our clinical laboratory operations. We are looking for team players who are willing to accept personal accountability for successful job performance and who have a willingness to learn new skills, as well as continually improve existing skill set.
Primary responsibilities include:
Opens packages of patient specimens and sorts contents
Enters orders for patient testing into the laboratory information system
Completes data verification for orders
Additional responsibilities may include:
Receiving, sorting, and organizing laboratory supplies
Liaises between operations and client services for resolution of patient specimen related issues
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma; preferred Associates or Bachelor?s degree in a science related field
Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
Familiarity with medical or laboratory terminology a plus
Previous data entry experience and/or ability to type 35 wpm
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
High attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
