Epocrates Pharma Sales Executive Team Lead - Northeast
The Epocrates Sales Executive Team Lead position is primarily responsible for supervising the operations, pipeline, and sales results of their assigned sales team, including hiring, coaching, effective performance management and development of team members selling Epocrates mobile marketing solutions to Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences companies. Ideal candidates are top sales performers with demonstrated success in selling to Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Medical Supplies and Devices and/ or Biotech companies. The Sales Executive Team Lead will be expected to meet and exceed assigned team sales quotas for their respective accounts and actively pursue new account through his or her existing network. The position will require 30-40% travel and the ideal candidate lives in or around the pharma corridor. Key duties include but are not limited to:
-Develops and implements strategic selling plans for the team
-Plans, organizes and manages activities of the team to achieve potential of the products, the accounts and to achieve the sales goals of each member of the team.
-Responsible for holding team 100% accountable to results.
-Clear and effectively communicates with customers at mid and senior levels, with mid and senior management within the company and across functions.
-Maintains required technical expertise in order to respond accurately to all questions regarding products, policies and business related issues from team and customers.
-Works in the field with all members of the team to coach and counsel on improved selling skills, product knowledge and customer management
-Effectively manages budget and effectively conducts team meetings
-Has complete understanding of all relevant compliance laws, policies and procedures and processes. Ensures actions of self and team are fully compliant
-Demonstrates high levels of teamwork in interacion with other functions and members of Epocrates team, especially Sales Support, Marketing and Deal Desk.
oBA/BS degree required. MBA or advanced degree in related field preferred.
o 5-10 years of demonstrated successful pharmaceutical, med/marketing sales experience preferred with demonstrated leadership skills across peer group
oPrevious supervisory experience preferred and ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change and deliver on company business goals
oStrong account management , organizational, and analytical skills
oStrong relationship skills with customers (may include C-suite), colleagues and senior management
oThis positions requires travel 30%-40% of time
