Job Description:
The Pharmacy Licensing Specialist will work closely with the Implementation Manager/Department to ensure that all pharmacy licensing and credentially is completed accurately and timely. Duties include developing external relationship to help facilitate and expedite the process of obtaining required certifications, general clerical, and some project based work. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare/submit Board of Pharmacy Applications for new pharmacies
Apply for/obtain pharmacy NPI and NCPDP numbers for new pharmacies
Apply for/obtain DEA Licenses for new pharmacies
Apply for/obtain State, County, and/or City Business Licenses for new pharmacies
Apply for/obtain Waste Hazardous Licenses as required for new pharmacies
Apply for/obtain Occupancy Permits as required for new pharmacies
Update spreadsheets as needed, including: CRM, Active Site, Important Information, etc.
Upload documents to Sharepoint
Point person for licensing status updates, questions, and/or concerns
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to evaluate current processes and identify areas of improvement, problem solve, and recommend and/or implement necessary solutions.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external constituents, with a positive and professional demeanor.
Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of different projects all at the same time.
Basic understanding of pharmacy operations and licensing, a State Board of Pharmacy technician license preferable.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
