Pharmacy Pricing Specialist Cypress Care

Objective:
Provide timely re-pricing of compounded medication prescriptions and physician-dispensed prescriptions. Evaluate the completeness of prescriptions originating from other areas of Pharmacy Services in order to effectively re-price prescriptions on behalf of Cypress Care Clients. The Prescription Pricing Analyst is responsible for implementing a process for assessing undiscounted compounded or physician-dispensed medications in a manner that lowers the effective price according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs). This position will be the pivot point for expansion of prescription re-pricing services to multiple Cypress Care Clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete all required workflow tasks including, but not limited to:
o Receiving and logging all incoming prescriptions suitable for re-pricing.
o Maintain ongoing records of processed / re-priced prescriptions.
o Utilize state-specific databases in order to correctly re-price prescriptions.
o Make outbound calls as needed to clarify the nature of prescription documents.
Escalate issues when necessary. Complete all required workflow tasks including, but not limited to:
o Receive, date stamp and log all incoming prescriptions for re-pricing.
o Research those prescriptions that require additional data for correct re-pricing.
o Keep supervisor advised of problematic prescriptions.
Stay current on ALL Cypress Care policies, procedures and applications
Other tasks as directed by Cypress Care Pharmacy Services management.

Qualifications:
High School diploma required; college degree in technical or healthcare related field preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Technical aptitude to review and analyze various file formats
Knowledge of prescription processing systems preferred
Pharmacy Technician and/or dispensing experience preferred.
