The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for correctly maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment to achieve manufacturing process yield and productivity goals. Provide a level of equipment maintenance support that will result in improved machine availability and performance, manage equipment resources to improve equipment management indices, such as cycle time and cost of ownership. Anticipates and diagnoses problems, performs scheduled maintenance procedures, records machine status and requirements, maintains spare parts inventory and various other activities related to the success of the assigned process area.
The candidate selected for this position will have primary responsibilities for effectively maintaining and executing to all unscheduled and scheduled maintenance events within the Photo Maintenance Group at OHT Fab. The specific tools of focus include: Canon i1/i3, I Steppers, Canon i4/i5 Steppers, SVG Tracks, SVG90 Tracks, SVG90S Tracks, TEL ACT8 Tracks and TEL MK8 Tracks, DUV Micrascans and Canon CUV. The desired candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of both SPC and FDC and work to improve overall equipment performance based on these types of controls. The candidate must also demonstrate problem solving skills and have excellent interaction and communication with Manufacturing and Process Engineering.
The desired candidate will have previous Photo maintenance experience or equivalent in another technical field within the Semiconductor industry. The job requires the ability to interface with internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. Applicant will be required to complete documentation and train others in accordance with Freescale's quality standards and practices as needed. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and chemical safety is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the applicant will be required to communicate effectively using both written and verbal skills. The applicant will also be required to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) and should be physically able to do so in addition to occasionally stooping and or crawling in confined spaces. The applicant must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. They must be willing and physically able to don the appropriate safety apparatus to work with hazardous gases and chemicals and be cleared medically to perform tasks involving this work.
Candidate must possess at least an Associates Degree in an engineering or science discipline with a minimum of 5 years semiconductor manufacturing experience.
Additional qualifications include:
Basic electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair and operation of Semiconductor manufacturing technology
Must be able to read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams
Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting issues and solutions
Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask
Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities
Ability to produce results in a timely manner
Analytical problem solving and testing skills
Experience and proficiency in maintenance support activities on any of the following Photo systems would be preferred: Canon i1/i3 Steppers, Canon i4/i5 Steppers, SVG Tracks, SVG90 Tracks, SVG90S Tracks, TEL ACT8 Tracks and TEL MK8 Tracks, and Canon CUV.
Prefer 4-6 years or greater of directly related wafer fab experience with an emphasis on Photo processing equipment. Previous experience as an Equipment Technician or Engineering Technician experience preferred. Looking for an individual who will be able to fill role immediately with minimal to no training.
