Photojournalist Intern Quirky

We're a company called Quirky. What are we Quirky about? We make invention accessible to everyone in the world. We develop two brand new consumer products every week. The ideas for those products come from anyone who has had "wouldn't it be cool if..." type ideas for decades.

So yeah, two products per week, that's why we're writing this job description. We need a brilliant photojournalist to work along side the Quirky Design Staff to daily record all product related activity that Quirky Design Staff engages in.

Note: We can offer a stipend for your work or course credit where/if permissible

Responsibilities Include:

Describe what is going on at Quirky HQ as it relates to products - this includes both in written form and photographic form.
Organize photos and information into organized files that are accessible and easily searchable by all Quirky staff members.
Be as inconspicuous as possible - you should see, hear and document everything but not interrupt, slow down, or in any way impede the work for Quirky Design Staff.
Help track the evolution of every product.
Help keep the Quirky Community in the loop on any major, or minor product related events and decisions. This will involve blogging, reporting, and taking photos.
Engage in an interactive conversation with the Community to determine what else they would like insight into (ex, tech, marketing, press, other?).
Reports directly to Gaz, Head of Design and works closely with Bret, Head of Marketing as well as the Quirky Invention Ambassadors.
Qualifications

Strong photography skills as demonstrated in your portfolio.
Strong writing skills as demonstrated in your portfolio.
Unrelenting intellectual curiosity and pride in doing awesome work.
Natural born leader with entrepreneurial spirit.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Action and detail oriented.
Passion for Quirky.
Availability to intern at Quirky 5 days per week is a plus but not required. We are willing to work around your class schedule if needed
Strong video skills is a plus but not required.
