Photovoltaic Module Finishing Engineer Stion
The successful candidate will have experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment. Primary work focus is specifying, installing, optimizing, and improving performance of electro mechanical equipment used to produce CIGSS solar panels. A blend of strong technical skills and an ability to lead projects and people are highly valued. This is a fast-paced start-up environment that is rapidly growing with customer demand.
Primary responsibilities and Essential Functions:
As the Engineer responsible for Circuit Finishing Processes you will specify, oversee installation, as well as monitor, optimize, and improve, performance of equipment necessary in the manufacturing and test of CIGSS solar panels on Stion?s volume production lines. Although this position is focused on back-end-of-line processes, this position may offer the opportunity to provide similar engineering support to front end equipment including laser and mechanical scribing, chemical and physical vapor deposition, chemical plating, and diffusion furnace tools.
Responsible for monitoring performance, sustaining, and improving circuit and module finishing equipment on Stion?s volume production line.
Project Managing of process and metrology tool deliveries, installation, commissioning, and production release.
Provide technical support to equipment maintenance staff to troubleshoot and restore to production all assigned process and inspection tools.
Locate and diagnose failures using standard electronics equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, manuals and/or instructions
Create required support documentation for tool startup, operation, and qualification. Provide technical support to maintenance staff on maintenance procedures. Lead Engineering Change control of all assigned production processes.
Act as single technical point of contact to OEMs for assigned equipment to create technical purchase specification and ensure all technical requirements are met.
Rigorous adherence to SPC control of processes and implementation of a sustainable method to ensure optimal process stability.
Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards
Positive ?can do? work attitude, willingness to be a hands-on contributor, and ability to work well with colleagues at all levels & departments are critical
Qualification Requirements (Knowledge Skills, Abilities, Experience, Training, Education):
Engineer with 5+ years of experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
Bachelor?s Degree ? Mechanical/EE Engineering or equivalent. Other four year technical degrees may be considered with sufficient work experience.
Strong background in electro mechanical equipment design, troubleshooting and optimization.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
SPC implementation, training and deployment experience. Six Sigma Training Certification desired
Working knowledge and experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). MS Project a plus.
CAD ? Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Experience with JMP or other similar statistical analysis software a plus
