Spredfast is seeking a full-stack PHP Software Applications Engineer to add to our growing Custom Solutions team. As a part of the team your primary responsibility will be investigating and implementing new web based software applications. From prototyping to deployment, you'll have ground level input into each phase of the development life cycle. You'll also work with other Spredfast members, designers and stakeholders to help develop the overall experience and output. And finally, this role will help design and build the back-end architecture for next-generation applications for some of the most recognized brands in the world. Lead the technical development for server sided specifications from concept through deployment
Collaborate with team in back-end architecture and design decisions for all products
Collaborate with team members to produce high quality code that will scale with our offerings
Soliciting requirements through conversations with stakeholders and co-workers
Customer trouble shooting and technical diagnosis
Requirements
At least 5 + years of PHP Programming experience including PHP5, MySQL, JQuery, Linux, GIT, PHP MVC, HTML4/5, CSS2/3
Deep experience architecting web solutions for enterprise customers, including, front-end, back-end and infrastructure layers
Basic knowledge of GNU/Linux and Apache web server
Experience with databases and SQL syntax, such as MySQL
Experience with Zend Framework or similar MVC frameworks
Experience with JavaScript and AJAX
Experience with large data sets, SQL join or group by functionality, and creating report views on top of an existing data models
Should be familiar with
General understanding of project management principles. (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall)
Version control.
QA and deployment processes
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Bonus
Experience in common third-party APIs such as Facebook, Twitter, and social media sites
Experience in security risks and solutions in web application development
Experience in developing web services (REST, RPC, JSON, XML, SOAP, etc)
Experience with jQuery
Experience with Unit Testing or Continuous Integration
Familiar with Subversion, Git, and/or Stash
