We are looking for talented developers:
Major League Gaming is seeking a PHP Engineer to work with our existing Front-End team building large web applications to support our initiatives. As a programmer at MLG you'll enjoy flexible hours, a bleeding edge development team, and the opportunity to work in an exciting and fast-paced industry.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
BS or MS degree, or related experience.
1+ year of PHP experience
2+ years of HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience
Expert in at least one JS framework - have written extensions for this framework
Expert in one server programming language PHP/Front-end DEV
PHP/Front-end DEV at Major League Gaming in New York City, NY
(PHP/Perl/Ruby/Python/Java/C#/etc)
Personal Traits:
Enjoy a fast-paced, delivery focused environment
You take pride in well architected code but for you shipping trumps perfection
You love gaming and have participated in a gaming tournament
You possess a detail-oriented, organized thought process and will be able to act decisively under stressful conditions.
You are an eager and independent learner willing to jump into new technologies and frameworks
Responsibilities:
You will help to design and build-out the next generation of the MLG experience
You will be given ownership of a large portion of the MLG site and you will work with the business team to take it to the next level
You will participate in group design sessions and will help optimize the site for performance and usability
You will help define the database and back-end API and components used across MLG
