Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Engineer Stion
Primary responsibilities and Essential Functions:
As the Engineer responsible for PVD Back Contact and Absorber Formation Processes you will specify, install, startup, ramp and validate process performance of associated equipment utilizing necessary metrology and test equipment on Stion?s Volume Production lines. Specifically you will oversee glass washing, Moly contact, and CIGS film absorber formation processes employing state of the art production equipment.
Project Manage delivery, installation, commissioning, and production release of assigned process and metrology tools.
Sustain and improve process performance and stability of assigned PVD Equipment on the Stion Production Line.
Work with maintenance team to establish and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance methods and procedures. Assist in troubleshooting or upgrading existing and new production line processing and inspection equipment.
Locate and diagnose product and equipment failures using available schematics, piping & instrumentation diagrams, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, manuals and/or instructions
Generate accurate and thorough operating and qualification procedures. Support Engineering Change process for any equipment or process changes.
Establish and adhere to rigorous SPC methods to control processes and implement sustainable methods to maintain optimal process stability.
Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards

Qualification Requirements (Knowledge Skills, Abilities, Experience, Training, Education):
Engineer with 5+ years of experience with high vacuum semiconductor deposition processes and equipment including PVD. Thin film solar experience is a plus.
Expertise in high vacuum tool operations, helium leak detection, residual glass analysis.
Experience in processing with and management of hazardous materials and gases.
Strong analytical skills, SPC implementation, training and deployment experience
Bachelors Degree ? Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Mechanical, laser and chemical surface treatment with film removal background preferred.
MS Project, Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, JMP, Mini-Tab a plus.
Six Sigma or SPC Training Certification desired.
