Yammer?s Analytics team is looking for new team members with great math/logical reasoning skills and business acumen to help provide tools and insight to our Sales, Customer Engagement, and Marketing teams. We?ve got lots of cool problems to solve: finding inefficiencies in our sales pipeline, figuring out what kinds of user behavior lead to monetization, prioritizing sales leads? and that?s just scratching the surface.
Day-to-day work varies greatly, but here?s a small sample of things you might do:
Improve the way in which our sales team determines which accounts to reach out to on a given day.
Figure out the best actions for our Customer Engagement team to take in order to maximize the number of customers we retain.
Design and implement tracking mechanisms to understand where all of our users come from and how much value they bring.

We?re looking for someone with:
Amazing logical problem-solving abilities.
At least 2 years of experience in a quantitative position with exposure to different businesses. Obviously analytics experience is best, but consulting, banking, PE, or something similar would work.
Bonus points for:
Knowledge of Excel, SQL, R (or similar stats packages)
Any web programming knowledge, but especially Ruby/Rails
Experience using CRM software, Marketo (or similar)
Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.)
Candidates must be able to meet customer security screening requirements as indicated for this role. Customer screening requirements may include additional items such as, but not limited to: specialized agency background checks (either national or local) and fingerprinting. All employees hired into roles supporting Cloud Offerings will also be required to pass Microsoft background checks prior to the start of employment and every two years thereafter.
