We're looking for an amazing and passionate Planner to join our Finance team in NYC.

You know every single line item impacting your gross margin as well as you know your favorite song. You are a deal hunter, always looking for ways to save money and cut expenses. You love masterminding the day-to-day details, but you never lose sight of the big picture. As a key point of contact between the Finance team and various other departments including Sales, Operations and Product, you are relied on for your communication skills and your ability to manage across multiple departments and functions. You pride yourself on your organizational skills and your impressive ability to make smart, quick decisions. You want to be the newest addition to Quirky's Finance Team.
As our Planner, you will focus on the following areas
--Be an integral member of Quirky's Finance team.
--Develop demand forecasts for all products and retail channels down to SKU level.
--Maintain constant communication & collaboration with Planning, Product, Operations and Sales team to ensure all major sales program leads are in the planned pipeline.
--Manage sales programs from beginning to end to ensure profitability.
--Provide input to Director of Planning and Operations team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
--Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for use by various stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Sales and Executive teams.
--Partner with Director of Planning and Chief Revenue Officer to create and map out a new account-planning process.
--Partner closely with Retail and Operations team to understand open projects and initiatives.
--Perform gross margin analysis for potential sales initiatives to determine feasibility and value. Review analysis with sales team and provide recommendations on how to increase program margins.
--Partner with Director of Planning, Finance and Operations teams to create a rolling Open-to-Buy. Manage to annual, quarterly and monthly plans.
--Review replenishment purchase plans, incoming receipt flow, forecast variance, deductions, markdown strategies and potential risks/opportunities with Director of Planning weekly to ensure we manage to goals in the OTB.
--Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
--Take initiative to partner with Finance team and our NetSuite Engineer to develop and refine various reporting and planning tools in NetSuite.
--5+ years of relevant experience at a major retailer or CPG company. Retail Finance and/or Wholesale Planning background preferred.
--You have experience managing all components of an Open-to-Buy including but not limited to: sales forecast, purchase plan, receipt flow, markdowns, gross margin, inventory turns.
--You are intellectually curious, independent, proactive, and show initiative to drive results.
--You have strong analytical skills and a rock solid understanding of retail math and basic accounting.
--You have expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and adapt quickly to new systems.
--You can multitask, prioritize, and juggle numerous projects simultaneously.
--You are able to adapt quickly and thrive in high-pressure environments.
