THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Platform Developer will be an integral part of the Engineering team that supports our Ad Division at GSN Digital. He/she will understand the entire web stack and be able to build core application features and frameworks within our platform. Working with the product and advertising team, this developer will get the chance to unlock revenue opportunities with innovative advertising products and solutions.
Work with team members to design, build and maintain new/existing advertising features and products
Work with team members to integrate 3rd party ad products and platforms
Help provide production support, system diagnosis and troubleshooting
Help define best practices to deliver the most impactful results
3-5 years software development experience
Experience with Java/J2EE
A flexible self-starter who thrives on the challenges of working with new and varied technologies
Strong understanding of design/programming best-practices and various design patterns
Produces modular, extensible, and clean code
Ability to translate quick/informal design into production code
Enjoys web development
Nice to have:
A thorough understanding of web media formats (e.g. .gif, .jpeg, .swf, HTML, Video) and IAB formats
Experience implementing 3rd Party Tags (Atlas, MediaPlex, DFA, etc) and Rich Media ad technologies from top vendors such as Eyeblaster, PointRoll, ViewPoint,/UniCast, Klipmart, etc.
Experience with a major ad serving platform such as DFP (Dart for Publishers) by DoubleClick, PMX/NMX by Right Media, OAS (Open Ad Stream) by 24/7 Real Media, AdManager by Accipiter, or AdConductor by Burst Media.
Knowledgeable and proficient in the area of online advertising trends and latest research and development
Familiar with Traffic and Audience Metrics from leading vendors such as Nielsen//Net Ratings and comScore
