As a Getaround Platform Engineer, you are the core?our infrastructure lives and dies with you. That means you?ll be part of a small team developing back-end infrastructure supporting our web, mobile, and hardware products. Of course, you?ll also have the opportunity to contribute to our entire codebase and help set engineering priorities.
We?re looking for a strong systems engineer that can design for scale, wrangle through data, optimize App Engine entity groups, and has recently played with all the different varieties of NoSQL databases. Ideally, you take ownership and pride in your work and you understand the need for code quality, elegance, and developing robust infrastructure.

What You?ll Be Doing
Developing core infrastructure in Python on Google App Engine
Developing core services (e.g. transactions, payments, search, analytics)
Hacking together quick prototypes in a single afternoon for feedback
Developing infrastructure to support instrumentation, analytics, and code coverage
Requirements
Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree
Real-world experience in a fast-moving startup environment
Experience in Python and database development
Experience building scalable web systems
High attention to detail and product quality
Goal driven, innovative and highly communicative
Additional Awesomeness
Google App Engine or Amazon EC2 experience
Experience with NoSQL databases and MapReduce pipelines
Git and distributed revision control experience
High-profile work on commercial or open-source projects
Passion for cars and pioneering next-generation transportation
