Platform Engineers VidSys
Platform Engineers work as part of an agile development team to develop our next generation video and physical security information management platform. This position works with the marketing and field organizations and applications team to develop our platform infrastructure.Successful candidates will have a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience, and will have expert knowledge in multiple programming languages, including Java. He/she should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be comfortable working as part of a team.
Benchmarking, refactoring, and tuning java and JavaScript code to eliminate performance bottlenecks; designing and implementing scalable applications using clustering, replication, or other distributed systems techniques; and eliminating choke points in existing code that prevent use of distributed systems techniques are desirable qualifications. The ability to develop scalable services and APIs for Application Developers as well as an understanding of physical security technologies (IP Video, physical access control systems, alarms and sensors, incident reporting systems, CAD and geographical information systems) are desired as well.
