Integration Senior Principle Engineer/Architect

Define the next wave of highly transactional, mission critical enterprise applications and serve as a subject matter expert performing architecture and technical design with the combination of team-lead responsibilities; collaborate with Product Management and Strategy to define product functional requirements and solutions; actively participate in architecture group discussions to define product vision, methodologies, standards, and processes; define best practices and design principals for consumption by broad range of audiences; identify and define reusable patterns and components for consumption by application teams; collaborate with product owners and technical leads to plan and schedule implementation of product solutions; participate in community forums and groups promoting core product principals and value; interface with the user(s) and sponsor(s) and all other stakeholders in order to determine their (evolving) needs; direct the writing of white papers for providing further insight in the solution area; provide guidance and mentorship to members of the development team; comprehensive internal documentation of designs and product components; resolve defects in response to escalated support issues; prototype and develop strategic technical solutions; ensure quality of deliverables for all product areas. Requires: comprehensive knowledge of services-oriented architecture (SOA), best practices and design principles; hands-on knowledge with integrating multiple applications using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and related functions; expertise in Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) and language constructs; understanding of WS standards-compliance (both common and industry-specific) SOAP, WS-security, WSDL; complete command of XML standards and experience in their application (XML Schema, XSLT 1.0-3.0, STX, DOM, SAX, and similar technologies); expert knowledge in Java/J2EE, Design Patterns, and Spring; an understanding of multiple business domains relevant to Workday systems (Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Procurement, Financials); knowledge of agile development processes. An understanding of Workday's Public APIs and Cape Clear or Workday ESB and Studio Experience is desirable.

Minimum requirement of Bachelorâs in Computer Science, Engineering or related field + 8 years of relevant experience. Sun Java Certified Programmer Certificate required.
