The Job
SpaceX is looking for an experienced PLM Developer specializing in Siemens NX and Teamcenter automation. Candidates should have deep knowledge of NX design and various programming languages. Candidates should have experience managing highly available production Environments that can deliver a “Like Air†experience for the SpaceX team, perform software lifecycle management including packaging of installers using vendor furnished media, custom code, application patching and break/fix. Applicant will be responsible for providing application support and this function includes investigation, diagnosis, resolution, recovery, and documentation for all customizations. Considered an expert in the field within the team they are working, the ideal candidate will also be flexible and flourish in a fast paced and challenging environment. He or she should be a self-starter and have excellent motivation, leadership, and ingenuity to excel at this position.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and Develop tools that increase user productivity
- Automate NX and Teamcenter performance testing and benchmarking
- Support all existing automation (NX Open, KF, ITK, etc)
- Maintain documentation and training materials for all customizations
- Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards within the CAD community
- Root cause analysis for all NX and Teamcenter problem reports
- Maintain knowledge about future releases of NX and advise the team on when and why to upgrade.
- Interact with internal business units to provide solutions and resolve problems in a timely and proactive manner
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years NX Design experience
- At least 3 years of NX Automation experience (NX Open, KF, C, Grip, and/or ITK combined)
- Extensive knowledge of NX Integration for Teamcenter
- Understanding of the Teamcenter data model
- Ability to write instructional documentation and convey highly technical ideas in terms regular people can understand
- A Motivated self-starting personality, able to work independently while maintaining patience with constant interruptions and multiple requests
- Must be comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities
- Excellent problem solving skills
Education and Training:
- BA/BS degree in design/engineering or related field is preferred; equivalent work experience/certification.
